      <abstract xml:lang="en">
        <p>The present paper treats a high-speed permanent magnet machine with the power of 5000 kW and the rotation frequency of 8000 rpm. Principal technical solutions intended for increase of rotor mechanical strength and for decrease of power loss are discussed. These solutions allow to obtain specific characteristics of the machine that are predominate those for synchronous and induction machines.</p>
