Analyzed faults of transformers, associated with neutral and ground-fault neutralizers. It is shown that the cause of the accident is a pulse overvoltage characteristics and the wrong choice of protective devices. The results of the surges exploration are given. The technical requirements for protective devices at 6, 10 and 35 kV are given.
