        <p>The requirements for weld tracking systems during laser-arc welding of steels are described. Because of high required accuracies and narrow welding cuttings usage of traditional contact sensors are limited. Laser triangulation method was chosen instead and image processing algorithms are described. Tracking sensor, based on these algorithms was made for using during hybrid laser-arc welding. This sensor meets all necessary requirements in terms of accuracy and robustness.</p>
