        <p>Titanium carbide TiC — wear — and corrosion-resistant, hard, chemically inert material, has been used in various fields for the manufacture of hard metal, cermet tools, refractory products, protective coatings of metals. New perspectives for the use of titanium carbide are opened when used in nanostate: modification of alloys of different composition and appointment. Economic evaluation of plasma production of titanium carbide showed that the productivity of 26 tonnes per year of titanium carbide (per one reactor) and cost 5.64 million rubles / T obtained selling price 400 $ / kg is optimal for plasma production of titanium carbide and reflects its competitiveness on the world market of nanomaterials.</p>
