The essay is dedicated to the life, teaching and research activities of the Professor of St. Petersburg (Petrograd, Leningrad) Polytechnic Institute (from 1902 to 1918 and from 1922 to 1934.), Member of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences (since 1919) and the USSR Academy of Sciences (since 1929) V.A. Kistyakovsky, who is a prominent scientist in the field of physical chemistry, theoretical electrochemistry and corrosion protection of metals.
