Abstract:

Running-in mechanism of friction for silicon carbide ceramics is studied. The evolution of the surface roughness on of the initial stage of friction is considered. A method for estimating the running time, which is based on wavelet analysis of acoustic emission signals arising in the friction process is proposed.
