Abstract:

A laboratory-scale system was installed for mercury removal fr om compact fluorescent lamps. The system reduces mercury concentration in exhaust technological air to as low as 0.002 mg/m3 that is five times lower than technological exposure lim it accepted in Russia. High effectiveness of mercury removal is achieved due to use of novel nanocomosite adsorbent based on titanium dioxide and selenium.
