Voltage observer-based closed-loop balancing control of the four level flying capacitor frequency converter for mv elctric drive appliations

The paper submitted is devoted to the development of automatic voltage–balancing control system of a 4-level inverter which is based upon PWM correction of the capacitor charging/discharging process parameters according to feed back control signals obtained with assistance of a flying capacitors voltage observer. Verification of the algorithms elaborated is implemented via simulation of frequency converter transient responses.
