The effect of plastic deformation on stucture and properties of copper plates in casting mold

The metal production efficiency in the case of continuous casting mostly depends on mechanical properties of copper plates in casting mold. Experiments had been provided on oxygen-free copper specimens under conditions of high-temperature — 23−400 °С. The relations betwen mechanical properties of deformed specimens (15−85% degree of stain) and temperature had been studied. The casting mold plates made of oxygen-free copper were shown to have best operating propeties being deformed by 20−25% degree of stain.
