Abstract:

The paper presents the results of the experimental study and analysis on the influence of operational and technological factors on the structure, mechanical and corrosion properties of aluminum alloys D16T and 1953T1 used for the manufacturing drill pipes for the petrochemical industry. It was found that the aging processes of these alloys during manufacturing and further operation have a different character. It is shown that the D16T alloy is much more resistant to softening under technological heated and operating conditions of extraction in comparison with the 1953T1 alloy. Practical recommendations to improve the maintenance ability drill pipes of aluminium alloys D16T and 1953T1 were formulated.
