The article discusses topical issue devoted to paying for electricity consumption. This topic is discussed at the last few years. Particular attention is paid to reactive power and energy. It is shown that currently used reactive energy counters do not reflect the actual costs of energy transmission to and from the source and back. We propose new versions of accounting factors affecting the payment for electricity consumption.
