        <p>Methods allow to provide a more complete quantification of the presence of mechanical particles and sludge in insulating liquids are discussed: the method based on the scattering of light by particles, as well as first proposed by the authors the method of recording fast-moving particles in the oil when the oil is illuminated by incoherent light.</p>
