      <abstract xml:lang="en">
        <p>The design and operation approval goals were examined and the analysis of such methods of their solution as full-scale experiment, mathematical and simulation modeling was done in the article. The experience of simulation modeling for the production line research was analyzed. The two typ- ical models were developed in the simulation software package Arena, one of which is single- product and the other is multi-product. The verification of developed models was done by the be- havior analysis of the bottleneck and the Little’s formula. The experiments with the single – prod- uct model were made in order to estimate the influence of batches, failures, process variability, production line length on such performance measures as throughput, average flow time, the down- time and blocking probability of workstations.</p>
