Aims and scope

"Materials Science. Power Engineering" (St. Petersburg Polytechnic University Journal of Engineering Science and Technology) is an open-access peer-reviewed journal that focuses on the latest research in all aspects of materials science, power engineering and electrical engineering. The journal publishes original research and reviews (reviews - upon request and in agreement with the Editorial Board) concerning wide range of contemporary problems in these areas of science and technology.

The journal focuses on technical publications. The journal welcomes complete original work embodying the results of extensive field, plant, laboratory, or theoretical investigation, or new interpretations of existing problems. Materials must be considered to have significant permanent value. In addition to technical acceptability, material should be presented clearly and concisely. The description of the involved experimental procedures is of particular importance.

The journal draws on the experience of its reviewers, who are recognized scientists working in research and production centers and leading their own research groups.

Affiliated with Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, which is an authoritative international scientific and educational center with long traditions and broad international contacts, it serves as a platform for sharing the results of relevant scientific research by scientists around the world. The journal welcomes all international submissions.

The journal has existed since 1995.

Materials Science. Power Engineering comes out 4 times a year. Upon submission, all papers are subject to single-blind peer review. The publication is free of charge; all expenses are covered by the journal. The journal is committed to the publication ethics. The editors, reviewers and authors are supposed to follow the ethical guidelines.

The journal accepts and publishes papers in Russian and English.

The journal is indexed by the following databases:
