Breaking of  interphase shorts in an electric machine with the permanents magnets excitation

Abstract:

The paper presents briefly a study of shorts in the windings of a six-phase electric 5MW machine excited by permanent magnets. Optimal algorithms of cutting-off short currents with vacuum breakers are revealed.
