Abstract:

This paper presents a method of producing nano-structured composite material Cu/γ–Al2O3< /sub>. The content of aluminum oxide in the material ranged from 0,2–2,0 wt.%. By pressing, sintering and hot pressing obtained dispersionhardened alloy with homogeneous distribution of hardening particles γ–Al2O3< /sub> size of 30–40 nm in the copper matrix. Mechanical and electrical characteristics of the material were studied and concluded that the material has comparable mechanical properties and electrical conductivity as compared with industrial alloys.
